Employment
Law
Because of the strength of our Business Law Practice Group and
Commercial Litigation Practice Group, the firm has developed
a solid employment law practice. Our business lawyers and litigators
work closely together in drafting employment agreements and
covenants not to compete. We represent management, and in some
cases, employees in employment discrimination suits and employee
termination suits and in other claims brought against employees
with respect to other employment laws.
Our Employment Law Practice Group is versed in the various laws
affecting employment, such as the Americans with Disabilities
Act, the Age Discrimination Act, various other anti-discrimination
laws, plant closing laws, federal and state labor and wage laws,
and sexual harassment laws. We can assist in drafting employment
personnel manuals and in trade secret and patent protection.
Please read Mark R. Carta's article on "Negotiating
your Severance Agreemement" in the Articles section
of our website.
If you would like a free initial review of your employment discharge or employment claim, please fully complete the confidential questionnaire here. This takes about ten minutes. After Attorney Horner reviews your responses, you will be advised as to whether your employment claim justifies further legal review.
We welcome the opportunity to represent you in dealing with
this most important part of your business.
