Better Chance of Wilton, Inc.
Mark Carta is the former President, a founder and member of
the Board of Directors of A Better Chance of Wilton, Inc.
Paul Burnham was a member of the Board and its legal counsel
for several years. This Wilton, Connecticut based non-profit
corporation provides a superior educational and cultural opportunity
to high school scholars of color.
AmeriCares
Foundation, Inc.
Joseph J. Rucci, Jr. serves as a Director and member of the
Executive Committee of AmeriCares, the nonprofit disaster
relief and humanitarian aid organization that provides immediate
response to emergency medical needs and supports long-term
healthcare programs, for all people around the world. The
Chronicle of Philanthropy recently listed AmeriCares the 20th
largest non-profit organization based on money raised from
private sources out of the largest 400 in the United States.
Bell Island Improvement Association
Patricia
Moreland Gross currently serves on the Board of Directors
of the Bell Island Improvement Assocation.
Darien
Board of Education
George Reilly serves as a member of the Darien Board of Education
to which he was first elected in 2001. The nine-member Board
of Education is responsible for all aspects of the operation
of Darien Public Schools.
Darien Chamber of Commerce
The firm is a member of the Darien Chamber of Commerce. Bill
Carello is a two term past President, and Amy Zabetakis is curently a member of the Board of Directors.
Darien Lions Club
Bill Carello is a member of the Board of Directors and is
a past President of the Darien Lions Club.
Family
Centers
George
Reilly serves on the Board of Directors of Family Centers,
a long-established human service non-profit organization helping
children, adults, families and communities to realize their
potential. Among the programs of Family Centers are 1) Center
for Hope and The Den for Grieving Kids, an organization
counseling individuals suffering from major illnesses and
grief, 2) parent education and support groups, 3) several
early childhood and Head Start preschools, 4) WorkLife Solutions,
an organization helping employees with crisis intervention,
harassment prevention, and training and 5) services for seniors
such as Friendly Connections, a telephone outreach program
and insurance counseling.
Friends
of Woodland Park
Amy
Zabetakis is a member of the Board of Directors of The Friends
of Woodland Park. Woodland Park is a 65 acre nature preserve
in Darien. The Friends of Woodland Park is committed to maintaining
the Park and ensuring that it remains intact as a nature preserve.
Getabout
Troy C. Bailey serves as a Board member to the Getabout. Getabout
is an organization dedicated to providing transportation to
the elderly and disadvantaged in New Canaan.
Kiwanis
Club of Darien
George Reilly is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Darien. The
Club is one of the largest donors of scholarships to Darien
high school and college students among all community service
organizations in Darien. Members of the Club serve the community
by collecting food for Person-to-Person throughout the year,
by sponsoring several youth sport teams, by contributing to
Darien's Gallivant, Post 53, and the Club Scout Cabin, and
by donating to the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center in Boston.
Kiwanis of Darien raises funds through sales of afghans, citrus
sales at civic events, raffles and an annual golf outing.
In 2004, Mr. Reilly served as President of the organization
and he continues to serve on its Board of Directors.

Canaan Cemetery Assocation
David Rucci serves as a Director of the Cemetery Association.

Canaan Chamber of Commerce
The firm and Mark Carta are members of the New Canaan Chamber
of Commerce.
New Canaan COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
David Rucci serves on the Board of Directors of the New Canaan Community Foundation.
New Canaan Rotary Club
The New Canaan Rotary Club is dedicated to encourage and foster
the ideal community and international service as a basis for
worthy enterprise. The Club is involved in numerous community
and international service projects each year. The Club's allocation
committee, of which David Rucci is a member, grants over $20,000.00
to local causes. Mr. Rucci is the former Secretary of the
Club and now serves as a Co-Chairman for the allocations committee
and as a Board member.
Norwalk Chamber of Commerce
The firm is a member of the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
Pear
Tree Point School Foundation
Joseph J. Rucci, Jr. serves as a Director of the Pear Tree
Point School Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit 501
(c) (3) organization. Its primary purpose is to provide scholarships
and other support for needy students of the Pear Tree Point
School, Inc., Darien, Connecticut.
Permanent Judicial Commission
of Southern New England Presbytery
Mark Carta is a member of the Permanent Judicial Commission
of the Southern New England Presbytery. This commission serves
as the judiciary in disputes arising within the Presbyterian
Church in Southern New England.

Bono Service Award
In 2003, George Reilly received the Pro Bono Service Award
at the Annual Meeting of the Connecticut Bar Association in
recognition of his pro bono activities since 1991.
Reiss
Fund for Further Study by Teachers
George Reilly is Treasurer and Board member of the Sydnor
and Miriam Reiss Fund for Further Study by Teachers which
is a charitable organization established to fund projects
by teachers in the Darien Public Schools to enhance their
professional development.
St. paul's church
Jeffery W. Davis is a parishioner at St. Paul's on-the-Green and serves on the church's finance committee.

Inc. , Lighting the Way....
Mark Carta is past President of STAR, Inc., Lighting the
Way.... STAR is a non-profit organization serving infants,
children and adults with developmental disabilities and their
families. Its mission is "to create opportunities by
providing personalized support and advocating for people to
live full lives with independence, freedom of choice and personal
growth."

Community Fund of Darien
The
Community Fund of Darien is a unique not-for-profit organization
with a two-fold mission: to provide educational, cultural,
recreational and civic programs, and to generate funds for
scholarships and other philanthropic works within the community.

David J. Rucci is a Director of the United Way of New Canaan,
Inc. and serves on the nominating committee of this organization.

Amy Zabetakis is a Board Member and the Corporate Secretary of the YWCA of Darien/Norwalk. Incorporated in 1976, the YWCA of Darien/Norwalk has served women in the Lower Fairfield area for over thirty years. The YWCA of Darien/Norwalk is dedicated to giving women the support and tools they need to transform their lives, be confident in their choices and raise healthy families.
