DARCY S. McALISTER
DARCY S. McALISTER has been with the firm since the fall of 2002 as member of the litigation department. During her time at Rucci Burnham, Ms. McAlister's varied experience has become an important skill set for numerous practice areas within our firm. While Ms. McAlister is well-prepared to litigate issues for our clients, she has also been successful at negotiating realistic settlement solutions that address complex issues and the parties' individual needs. Her practice includes general civil litigation, family law and collaborative divorce, employment negotiations and disputes (advocating for both employee and employer rights), as well as entertainment law.
A cum laude graduate of Skidmore College with a B.A. in Psychology / Sociology, Ms. McAlister also completed one year of her masters program at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. Thereafter, Ms. McAlister spent five years in the entertainment industry managing internationally known recording artists, including Kool & The Gang, K.C. and The Sunshine Band, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Attending law school at night, Ms. McAlister graduated from Quinnipiac University of Law in 2002, where she was elected to the Quinnipiac Law Review, received graduate awards for Excellence in Clinical Work and Outstanding Academic Achievement, earned Distinguished Achievement Awards for best performance in Legal Skills and Property, and was granted an externship as a Federal judicial intern for the State of Connecticut under the Honorable Holly Fitzsimmons.
Attorney McAlister is currrently admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Second Circuit.
